Our registration form requires users to provide their e-mail address and other contact information. This information is kept confidential and will only be used for account verification and notifications to the email address listed on your account. We do not disclose, sell or give this information to any other companies or organizations without your consent.

We may use your email address to send you Service-related notices (including any notices required by law, in lieu of communication by postal mail). We may also use your email address to send you announcements and information about other products or services (including third party services) that you may be interested in (together, the “Marketing Messages”). You may opt-out of receiving Marketing Messages at any time by following the instructions provided in the Marketing Message.

All 3rd party data sent to us by our customers, including phone numbers, names, addresses, or other data, is kept private; we will not sell or disclose this data to others, nor will we use it ourselves for marketing or any other such purposes.

We occasionally use "cookies", which allows us to recognize who you are at subsequent visits to our site and to your member control panel. You can change your browser settings to accept or reject cookies.

AI Assistant & MCP Connector

Data247 offers an AI Assistant and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector that let you connect a third-party AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT) to your Data247 account so you can run Data247 lookups conversationally. This section describes how that feature handles your information; it supplements the policy above.

Authentication. Access to the MCP connector is authorized through our identity provider (WorkOS) using an OAuth consent flow. You sign in with your existing Data247 credentials and explicitly approve access before any AI assistant can act on your behalf. We do not expose your Data247 API key to the AI provider, and you can revoke access at any time from the MCP Access page in your account.

What we collect and process. When you use the AI Assistant or MCP connector, we receive the lookup inputs you submit (for example phone numbers, email addresses, names, postal addresses, or IP addresses), the lookups you request, and standard request metadata. We use this information solely to perform the requested lookup, return the result to you, and bill the transaction to your prepaid balance. As stated above, third-party data you send us is kept private — we do not sell it, disclose it, or use it for marketing.

Third-party AI providers. If you choose to use a third-party AI assistant (such as Anthropic's Claude or OpenAI's ChatGPT) with our connector, you are directing that provider to transmit your prompts and lookup inputs to Data247. Those providers process your prompts under their own privacy policies and terms, which are outside our control. Data247 is responsible only for the data once it reaches our systems, where it is handled as described in this policy.

Data sources. Lookups are fulfilled using Data247's licensed third-party data sources. Results are provided to you for the permissible purposes allowed under your agreement and applicable law.

Storage and retention. Lookup inputs and results are processed to fulfill your request and may be retained in our transaction and billing logs for billing, customer support, fraud prevention, and legal-compliance purposes, after which they are deleted in the ordinary course. We do not use this data to train models or for marketing.
